FAA-licensed Pilot.
On her first trip to Bhutan, Kate had the thrill of being a passenger in a small aircraft landing at Paro - generally considered to be one of the most challenging airports in the world. Filled with wonder at the skill, focus and discipline of the pilot on whose decisions we all depended, Kate then and there decided to learn to fly, and after much study and practice, she qualified as a FAA-licensed pilot (PPL) with an Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) rating. Kate is currently pursuing her Commercial Pilot’s License (CPL).
